Strader Jackson, Bowie high school’s March Student of the Month gave us answers to why he received this month’s award. An award like this, isn’t so hard for a freshman like him. He doesn’t need to work so hard to get where he is now.

Not that surprising, coming from Student of the Month receiver,

“ I take all AP classes, ” Strader said.

We asked what does it take in order to receive an award like this “ Time, energy, and swag ” Strader said.

I asked freshman, Strader was it a challenge for him to become Student of the Month? And he said “Not really, because I’m better than everyone”

Now I had to ask, just to help out any kids interested in wanting to be student of the Month. Do you have any tips or tricks for getting good grades? “ Cheating, its easy to do ”

So Strader never really had a problem with school, or not many struggles overcoming anything to receive this award, by cheating and “ Having my parents taze me” really influences Strader to study hard and get good grades. He received $20,000 from his parents for receiving this title and award. But one of the worst things is “ Getting caught cheating.” Strader said.

For this student of the Month, his career goal is to become a “ movie star because I like to act ” but needing to keep those grades up so this athlete can continue to play basketball.

In conclusion, if you don’t get caught cheating, feel highly confident in your self, and believe in yourself, you can win the award of Student of the Month easily.

3. Prominence - Mom gets 20 years to life for poisoning son with salt
Lacey Spears, was trailed for killing her own son. Spears has Munchausen syndrome, which is where those who are affected in feign illness to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves. This syndrome is also known as hospital addiction syndrome. Spears melted out a lethal dose of salt to her son Garnett through a feeding tube killing him. For her actions she carries a minimum penalty of 15 years to life in prison, and a maximum of 25 years to life.

4. Impact - Mom accused of beheading baby hellish childhood: Watkins (mother) said that she heard demonic voices. But mother had had a pretty bad childhood as a kid. Being born from a mentally ill mother, she spent in conditions that were not made for children. Mostly being left in care of strangers, no food or shelter, verbally abused and neglected, but while having a mother who was into alcohol and drugs.

5. Conflict - Stop Cyber fights before they get bloody
Fourteen year old Kierr'onna was shot and killed last month in Alabama. The fight that led to her killing  started on the Internet. There were to "crews" that  Kierr'onna and a Brooklyn gang have been threatening one another on Facebook for months. Fights have led from street corners and in school hallways, to a larger audience on the internet. Its been said that in 2011, 15% of teens were reported being targeted online. 6. Human Interest - Gisele Bundchen retires from the runway
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen retires after 20 years from the runway. Since the age of 14, "I am grateful that at 14, I was given the opportunity to start this journey. Today after 20 years in the industry, it i s a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business."

7. Novelty - Mother of children bodies in freezer: Mitchelle Blair, mother of two said she found both of her children boy, 11 and girl, 15. Man said the bodies have been there for "some time", more like more than a year. Some neighbors said they haven't seen the children for as long as a year. Mother of two says that they usual come out during the summertime, but i guess just never came out this time.
